Inbar Shahak
“To me, textile work is the ancient work of women. In some cultures, it is their only way to express themselves, or even make their living.”
Shahak is a textile designer by profession, who graduated from Shenkar University of Fashion in Israel. After working for Calvin Klein, the urge to create handmade textile art led her to establish her own brand of textile jewelry.
Shahak is inspired by delicate, tracery patterns, and her passion is combining ancient-tradition textiles with new, modern techniques. She recently collaborated with designers, creating bold, theatrical costume jewelry for runway fashion projects.
