Raluca Buzura

Trained in Romania, Buzura uses ceramics, glass, and metals to fabricate her jewelry.

She uses natural shapes and links them together in easy harmony. Her subtle use of colors seems to catch the object mid-motion, perhaps caught by a swirling breeze. A flash of shiny metal might tip a ceramic shape suggesting a wave, or undersea life. Her choice of materials in any one piece is carefully thought through and executed with purpose. Although they are not kinetic in fact, her talent enables her pieces to suggest life in a continuous gentle motion.
