Wayne Werner

A third-generation metalsmith from Baltimore, Werner primarily uses a cold forging process on precious metals.

He has traveled the world learning about ancient cultures and smithing techniques, which he has incorporated into each jewel. His travels informed his awareness of the ever-changing and transient life of man which inspires his art.

Each design seems to suggest a hidden symbol, possibly historic, likely exotic that one can almost identify…but not quite. Even in shape, color, and surface the stones that he incorporates on or nestled within each piece furthers the mystery. His creations are truly the work of a master…or perhaps a mystic.
